Light play
This plant with its spiky character has intrigued me for a while. It is a rather insignificant pale green/blue colour.
However, early in the spring it makes a lovely flower on the end of each growth which is indigo with bright pink edges - will blip this when it is spotted.
It does not grow in soil, and we found it draped over the branches of shrubs where the root system attaches itself to the bark of the shrub - however, it can be easily removed. A type of a vampire, then?
The play of the sunlight with the spikes created interesting light/shadow patterns and for this blip, the plant was placed inside a large palm integument (woody sheath). Early morning sunlight aided in providing the shadows and the rest.
To enhance the light play, I decided to manipulate the image.
Constructive criticism is welcome!
