one in a hole
Today I had planned to go to my first Blipmeet in Inverness, but plans are only there for breaking!!!! Hope everyone had a good time though.
Second plan was to go to Slains Castle, 7 miles South of Peterhead, and, I did indeed go to the carpark, but the sun of this morning had given way to fairly heavy cloud and I could also see a distant mist heading across ( one of the advantages of working outside is that you do learn to read weather very well!!), so rather than taking the track towards the castle remains (it will be there another day!), I took the other direction towards a group of cliffs known as Twa Havers, where, amongst many other spectacular granite cliffs there is this cave. Well, it was a cave till one side fell off!! It's pretty huge and as I took some photos I could see this supply boat heading towards Peterhead, so i scuttled down the grassy bank till I was on the right line to catch it through the hole. Well, it pleased me!!!!! and as I got back to the car the rain started, so I guess I made the right choice as I would have only just been setting up next to the castle!!
*obligatory seagull!!!!!!
