Also Ran

My view today as an 'also ran' at the Carnethy 5. Pretty good conditions, cold and mostly clear, just a bit of mist rolling around. The usual boggy ground at the start, but icy on the slopes. I think half the field must have passed me on the climb up Scald Law and you can see most of them here! My legs were not great and I had a pretty terrible race. One should never underestimate the importance of training. I on the other hand have not trained at all and think that my last decent hill run was when I did this race last year. Will not make that mistake next year! However, glass of wine in hand now it does not seem that bad, however, I fear I will be coming down stairs backwards tomorrow:)
