At Last!

After over 4 years this road finally reopened today.

A while ago the road gave way and started to slip down the glen, so it was closed off to traffic, you could still get through the gates they put up to walk up it or bike up it. There were huge cracks and nature started to reclaim it, it was pretty eerie going up it sometimes with moss and grass and branches covering it and the weeds starting to grow out the concrete, but there was something good about how easily nature reclaims things.

I used it a lot as a running route, but one day when I tried to get past, the whole thing was gone, dug out completely as it was being reinforced and rebuilt. I really missed running up it. But now it has been rebuilt - and it must have cost an absoloute fortune, we are lucky the council decided to spend the money on it with finances being the way they are, but on Monday it reopened and today I got to run up it again, however, I now have to share it with traffic again.
