Coolpix & Whales

We spent all day clearing more gubbins out of the attic. Its incredible just how much stuff one can acquire over the years. I found this wee camera buried under cables and other odds and ends in my 'gadget box'. It made me smile, remembering..

Its one of the best places for whale watching. At the end of our the cliff top walk from Voelklip to the old Harbour, the whale crier sounded his horn. Everyone flocked to the harbour wall to see a pod of southern right whales. We had seen many during our walk, but they get real close at the harbour. When I looked along the wall at the line of long lenses and telescopes, I felt rather puny with my wee point and click :-) Amazing day. Great memories.
