The wartime sheds
These sheds are near the banks of the River Thames close to where I keep my launch.
They are sad, forlorn and empty at present and the snow enhances the rust colours.
During the Second World War however these sheds were a hive of industry building parts for Torpedo Boats and wings for Spitfires! The wings were constructed here, loaded into barges and taken by river to Brooklands (via the Wey canal) where the planes were assembled and sent to war
