merely light rain and heavy drizzle today, with the odd patch of merely light drizzle! mind, this rain does mean you can walk up the royal mile without falling over tourists every step (it's every second step at the minute).

this chap's costume seemed a bit obvious - 'wow, i'm a clown! so i have to have a really humorous umbrella with holes in it!!!' - but still, it seemed fitting for the day.
