Eagle on Paradise Street
I had time to stop today and read the sign under this golden eagle high up on Paradise Street, Liverpool. It's on a building that used to be The Eagle pub and the statue probably came off a ship. From 1790 James Maury, an American consul, had offices here. It's now rather an anonymous commercial property but its history has been well preserved.
