One step forward; two steps back

Finally managed to rebuild, reinstall, reboot, reconnect, re-everything else the ancient computer that perches on a desk in the kitchen. This PC is supposedly there for Children of Mine to use so that the slightly speedier one elsewhere in the house is available for the grown-ups, i.e. me.

In other news, I had a granny reverse into my stationary car today; and the path of a mysterious leak has finally shown itself clearly - down the pipe in the wall behind the shower controls and through the living room ceiling.

Ah well...
