Ooh, la-la

These chaps haven't had much of a visual presence in the daily dumpings of imagery broadcast from 1200 metres so far, yet they play such an imperative integral role in everyday life out here. Even in the miniscule village bakeries that perch in a long line of temptation and cozy competition with one another you'll find at least 8-10 varieties of The Baguettes, still steaming behind the counter in their freshness. It could be Le Flute or Le Ancienne that we indulge in for the particular breaded delicacy of deliciousness for the day, but each wand of gold will crunch + crumble with shear elegance of edibility and make us weak at the knees with the delight and honour to join one of the content locals sauntering through the village with a stick or two of their choice sat snuggly under a pit; and the walk will become even more cautious whilst competing with the sheet iced pavements beneath the foot and the intimidatingly perilous icicle swords hanging above, as there is a precious food item that longs to return home and be lashed over with avocadoes, marmite and tomato.
