The Nutshell
The Guiness Book of Records states that this is the smallest pub in Britain. This tiny pub is no larger than 15ft by 7ft 6 inches and can hold the maximum 15 people squashed in tight.
A strange little pub it is, only time i've ever been inside was to check out their mummified cat that they have hanging on a wall.
The cat was originally found bricked up behind a wall of a house in a nearby street. In times gone by cats were apparently walled up in houses, when they were built, to ward off evil spirits. Poor bloody cats.......
Mustn't forget to mention the other contender for the smallest pub* and that is the Smith Arms in Dorset.
*Personally i'd say not really a pub, more of a brick built shed that serves beer......
