Stellar's Jay at Tualatin Hills Nature Park
We decided to get out early for a walk as the weatherman was predicting afternoon rain, so we headed to a new spot, Tualatin Hills Nature Park, which is only 3 miles away from our house. This park is 222 acres inside an urban community, but looks like you are out in the forest. It made me realize that the entire area once looked like this instead of housing developments!! The park is fed by Cedar Mill Creek and Beaverton Creek, and they merge within the park. The park has many loop trails: West Woods, Big Pond, Big Fir Woods, Lily Pond, Wildlife Preserve and South Woods.
We saw some new birds today....Stellar's Jay and Brown Creeper. I have posted more photos on my Flickr page, CLICK HERE!
