Presents

Today we went for lunch with some of DH's friends at Princes Square, 7 + 2 children. One couple brought presents for the kids as it was the first time they had met them. H was delighted with her Hello Kitty gift bag which contained a couple of Peppa Pig DVDs and a couple of bags of sweets! After the waitress brought her a drink of blackcurrant squash which she downed, she promptly threw it back up all over the table. I think it was just the excitement and drinking her drink too quickly though as it didn't phase her at all. It did mean that we had to take her top off and she resorted to a vest and cardigan for the rest of the meal though.

It took ages to get our food and poor H was starving by the time it arrived, so wolfed down her chicken sandwich and fries, which is not like her at all - she is never that hungry. This was followed by ice-cream and lots of running around in the courtyard with other children. She also danced with an giant octopus!

H was also keen to play at doctors today for some reason and wanted to listen to my tummy and the baby, so we let her listen to the baby's heartbeat through the doppler which we have barely used. She is very excited to be a big sister and doesn't have long to wait now. We also managed to convince her to sit on her potty today and we read a couple of potty related stories. This has backfired however, as it's now 10.30pm and she is still telling us she needs a pee and wants to sit on her potty. And when her Daddy suggested she try to "squeeze out a pee", she squeezed her legs really hard! The poor thing is trying really hard suddenly!
