Oo What Big Balls You Have!!

When I heard the news back last year, that my Sis-in-Law and her husband were expecting twins, I thought it was about time I picked up the old knitting needles again! It had been many a year since they were last put to good use!
So, in October, the knitting got underway and I haven't been able to stop since!!! Various items have been completed since, from a baby blanket to hoodies for the twins and a cardigan for their big Sis. Now gonna start on a fab aran cardy for youngest daughter, who picked out a really fab modern pattern for me to knit.
I guess loads of you will think that knitting is old fashioned and only for grannies but you are sadly mistaken. There are loads of modern funky patterns and yarns out there and knitting
has suddenly become very popular with "young" folk like me!! A certain department store has seen a 30% increase in the buying
of wools and a 50% increase in the buying of patterns. So the evidence is there, its cool to knit folks!
So glad my Mum taught me all those years ago!
Finally, today has been a good day,cooked a delicious duck a l'orange for the first time ever and to top that Wales won the rugby! Woohoo!
