Seed hopper
After the glamour and elegance of yesterday, it's back to reality today.
First up a torturous core stability class, and then it was then out with the power tools and back to making things.
This will go with the bonnet I made the other day, it's the frame for a seed hopper
It consists of a kidney shaped wooden frame, to fit around the waist, supported with a couple of straps like an ice cream tray, with sack cloth in the middle. The seeds would be poured into the middle and the farmer could walk up and down the field sowing with both hands...
I've also made a sack cloth apron... So just need to stitch the hessian into the frame and then make some fake seaweed and then jobs a good un, it'll be time to deliver it to East Lothian Museums...
Only problem is that it's back to the day job tomorrow... no rest for the wicked...
