- Alone with the Obamas....

drove in the city in hopes of getting some photographs of the US Capitol. However, those plans were quickly dropped after I discovered that it is under construction. So I took a quick drive over to the White House (found a parking spot a block away) and was pleased to have the place to myself.

It was very cold in Washington today with temperatures barely making it to the freezing mark with 30 - 40 mph winds. In addition to that, we did get a light dusting of snow. I suspect that this helped keep the foot traffic down...
