Icebergs Danube Style
What a perfect day of laughing with my man. In fact it started last night with old tic tacs, but today we laughed and I was so happy.
This morning we woke up and after putting on so many clothes I could hardly move, we cycled to the Danube. I was a bit cautious as last time I was on a bike was when I had my accident but it was alright. L pointed out the shivering trees, the very dry leaves were shivering in the wind and made a noise like chattering teeth. I like it when he notices things like this.
We sat on the sledge and watched the icebergs. They were not quite Titanic sinking size but were still pretty cool. They also made a great noise when they hit each other. The whole river would have been frozen but they are breaking up the ice. There is a build up though on the banks especially on the other side. L says it's probably about 60m. I was also surprised by the speed of the river, it's just normally you can't tell.
Then we went sledging on the flood defense barrier and L pulled me back to the bikes.
We traveled back to Dunafoldvar together and had other funny conversations. Including whether I would still be his girlfriend if he chopped someone's head off!!
I saw another deer in the snow on the bus and it was snowing a lot when I walked home. Also had a lovely chat with my Dad about rugby and funny things we heard on the radio.
All in all a great weekend that I want to remember for all of the giggling and smiling with L.
