La foule illuminée by Raymond Masson - part
This is part of a massive and very well-know sculpture by Raymond Masson a French-British sculptor, born in Birmingham England, student of Giacometti, friend of Francis Bacon. "La Foule Illuminée" or "An Illuminated Crowd" (1986) is on one of the main streets in Montreal, McGill-College, at the foot of McGill University and Mont Royal. It is composed of 65 characters, on four levels, all looking ahead at some event or scene unknown or at the back, hiding from it in a sense of despair. It is an endless source of photos as one discovers the various faces and feelings expressed. You can see more and read more here.
