Bob The First

Random family scatter round the imposing statue of Robert the Bruce on Stirling Castle's esplanade. Looks like Bob is facing in the direction of Bannockburn, scene of his famous victory in 1314 (though I took this photo at 13:15). But me, I'm pointing the camera at the more interesting view westwards along the line of the Ochil hills towards Dollar.

We went to Bannockburn after we'd finished at Stirling Castle. It's the first day of the half term school holidays. Bannockburn Visitor Centre was closed.
