Birsay panorama

I was dropped at the palace of Birsay and set off over Marwick Head. The wind was blowing hard, and from all directions at once, which I thought a bit unfair. I had to move off the path and further from the edge as a precaution.

I made coffee in a sheltered spot near the top and continued on to The Choin and the fishermens' huts at Sand Geo where all the white-winged gulls are. I disturbed a female merlin sheltering from the wind.
