Waking up alone

Back Blip

That was the best January ever!
Mainly because for 4 out of the 5 Mondays I woke up with L and came home to him in the afternoon (actually on one of those he went home mid morning - not important). Unfortunately now normal service has resumed and we are back to weekends only. Never mind, the snow was still here.

I have just realised when back blipping I can't seem to decide on a tense, am I writing as if it was that day or not. Again, never mind. Maybe one day I will decide.

This is the street in front of school and I liked how white and quiet the road was as only the daring or buses were on the roads. I would like to say here thank you to the Bacsies at school who work tirelessly in this weather keeping the paths clear. They also made me laugh, I think on the following Wednesday because even if Hungary has a new smoking ban they were shoveling snow with fag in hand. The Bacsies are what I call the school maintenance men as a collective.


I forgot to say that on Friday the headmaster came into the staff room and announced that we were NOT allowed to let the students go home early. It always makes me laugh how everything just keeps on going here. Although I wouldn't say know to some snow days.
