Localised icy patches

Dramatic proof that Shrewsbury has finally had its share of the winter weather? Alas not; this is the only icy patch in town, and is behind the theatre where they have recently been staging a production of 'Cinderella on Ice'. I was vaguely impressed at the technological efforts required to create a temporary ice rink - there was a large lorry with tanks of coolant in situ for several days, with large frost covered hoses snaking off into the theatre. I'd been wondering how they would go out removing the ice rink once the show had finished, and the somewhat low-tech answer seems to be to break it up and dump it out the back. Possibly one of my blips in the coming days will show the council workers from the neighbouring office being rescued from localised flooding...
