In Between Days

I took this afternoon off work to take Alana to the orthodontic place in Wakefield. My brother called round before we set off and that's when I took this picture. He was telling me he'd bought some old cheap manual lenses and an adapter so that he could use them on his camera. He also brought us some odd German friendship sharing cake thing which consisted of a tub of bubbling goo. It comes with instructions for the days to come on what to do. On some days you stir it and on others you add flour and sugar. The cake grows and grows and on the last day you split your mix into four, keep one and cook it and then pass the rest on. It's like a cake version of chain mail. I'm not sure I will eat it. It became apparent that if the first sharing cake was made in the 70s and the chain continued, there would be some of that original cake mix going round today! Maybe L will eat it.

Alana is going to have a removable brace followed by a fixed brace. She will have to wear each one for three to six months and in this time she they will hopefully give her an overbite.
