baking buns with granny

Nik had to work today so the kids had a quiet day at Granny's house. I went out in the afternoon to catch up with a friend who just happened to be visiting Orkney on business which coincided with our trip. Ella and Isaac did some baking while I was out. The cakes are spectacular! My friend told me today she is moving away from the Inverness/Easter Ross area where we live to a place closer to her family in Edinburgh. It is very exciting because they have bought a plot in a nice spot and are going to be building an amazing eco-house like they have always dreamed of - sad too though because we will probably see eachother much less often.
