Seafood Lunch

Another sunny hot day in Vietnam today. We had a trip out on a boat earlier and on the way to the area for snorkelling we stopped off at the local floating fish shop. Hopped on board to buy some fresh seafood for lunch that the crew were going to cook for us. This beastie is a black sea urchin which the Vietnamese love to eat. They take all the spines off then cut them in half and cook them or not if you prefer them raw. I was a bit wary at first but the crew told me to mix the sweet lime sauce they rustled up with the cooked sea urchin and I must admit it was tasty. We also had the freshest crab, langoustine and a thing that looked like a lobster tail. All extremely well cooked by the crew. Went down a treat with the nice cold Tiger beers!
