Most Chinese couples love to have cornily posed pictures of themselves to celebrate their wedding. These pictures are often taken weeks before the wedding reception and consist of just two people; the bride and the groom. Family and friends rarely, if ever, appear in wedding albums.

In sum there are three parts to a Chinese wedding. The official weeding in a government building which take less than ten minutes I believe. The wedding photos. The wedding reception. These three separate event may easily be scattered over the course of several months.On my visit to Hong Kong yesterday I did see a wedding taking place and they were having bride, groom, family and friends photos taken.
