definitely a duck

but not sure what kind. My bird books are 450 miles away, so I tried the interweb, and I'm reasonably sure they aren't mallards. I think they may be Eurasian wigeons, she said tentatively, knowing that they'll turn out to be mallards in winter plumage or something.
