The almighty dollar

On this day every year im a cross between Scrooge and the grinch. It's not that I'm uncaring, or not romantic because I am. I just hate valentines day. Maybe a little bit of my hatred is because I'm single but mainly its because it's just a money making scam. Restaurants, flowers, Champaign, chocolates, etc... triple & quadruple in price just for this one day in the year. Again it's more evidance to show we are becoming Like our american cousins and everything is becoming commercialised. As the americans would say "THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!"

Also why do you have to be romantic on one specific day in a calendar year. If you loved someone then you wouldnt just be romatic on february the 14th every year, you would be romantic 365 days a year.

Comming back on the train today we had a great conversation on kids programmes you used to watch when we were kids. There are so many I remember growing up but here are just a few of my favourites:
Ulysses 31, cities of gold, terror hawks, wheeled warriors, benji, zac and the alien prince, Jamie and his magic torch, jossys giants. I could go on forever, what were your favourite kids programmes growing up?
