Festive Lights

We live in a mainly Muslim area, and over the past two years more and more people have been decorating their houses with lights to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed.
It's really lovely to have such colourful displays during the darkest months. We are about the only people locally who celebrate Christmas and our house tends to twinkle alone in December and then during January more and more houses become illuminated.

I wasn't intending to play around with this image - I just went into photoshop to subtly adjust some of the levels and next thing you know...........
I quite like the painterly quality, so I left it.
