Self obsession

One thing about being off work for what feels like ages (it's been two weeks) waiting for the baby to arrive is an uncomfortable sensation of self obsession. It comes with being alone a lot of the day I guess, and also for obvious reasons, being quite focused on what's going on with one's body and mind. It's an unfamiliar situation and I don't enjoy it much. But I guess the other way to look at this is that fairly soon, self obsession will give way to obsession of another entirely different kind!
