Just another day...

Valentine's Day, commercialised beyond all original meaning, as with everything else these days. A hideous nightmare of a day to many.

An expression of love or unexpected gift on a random day of the year means so much more than receiving something today, and no I'm not just being bitter because I never receive Valentine's gifts! Or am I? I guess I wouldn't complain :)

Don't get me wrong, I love the original notion of Valentine's, the anonymous card or the initial courtship, letting that special someone know how you feel. I can be a romantic fool when I want to be!

A hurried blip of the only heart-shaped item I could find around the house. This cute paperweight. I've had it for years, think it was a gift from my Mum actually, I struggle to remember right now.

So whatever you're all doing this evening, I hope you're having a good one. My heart goes out to those finding this day difficult. There's certainly no avoiding it!
