Valentines Day...........

I was quite happy to go to work and have a non eventful day....

After working as a florist for 20yrs to go to work on Valentines Day and not be run off my feet and not to have green fingers that have been cut to ribbons by thorns is a treat!..., hence, we don't really do Valentines Day anymore, I was sickened of it years ago, and just see it for the money making machine it is.
In the early days, when we were winching(dating for non Scots!) hubby used to go to another flower shop and have them deliver to my flower shop. It must have been terrible for the other florist, no one wants to make up flowers for someone in the trade... you know your work is going to be fully inspected!lol.

There is still cards and gifts proudly being displayed in the house... both our teens are feeling the love today.... The Little Chef has unfortunately picked a trade that's sure to spoil all the special days as well... she will have to catch up with her boyfriend later in the week... she has many romantic meals to cook!

Todays shot is of the boating pond at our usual haunt.... a nice wee walk after work today, the pond was looking a bit choppy with the wind... the swans were fair bopping up and down!
Sammy was very good in the car again! That's 2 days in a row... today I played him some Muse on the ipod... just incase the chilled out music is helping him calm.... :-)
