'We are what we do.'

Surprise! I definitely did not expect this!

What a surprise - I definitely did not expect to be blipping a pig today! Although, I am glad to have something a little different to replace yesterday's ladybirds with. They were very popular!

Up close and personal!

This all came about after deciding not to stay in school today, just open up and lock up for any colleagues who wanted to do any work. This meant that I could have a much needed duvet morning, all snuggled up with Rebecca play on the iPad.

After a snooze, I decided to take the dogs for a walk along the Tidal Path, after locking up at school. I am still discovering new paths and walks, and was in the middle of discovering yet another route whem I stumbled acorss this sow and her partner, seemingly in the middle of nowhere!

I was a little perturbed to see her turn and come charging down the hill towards us at full speed. It was one of those moments when you are simply frozen to the spot with a hundred thoughts running through your head such as; will she stop at the fence, will the dogs go ballistic, do I need to run, is she angry?

However, when she reached us, my panic was over with her flopping to ground and rolling over so that I could rub her belly! I haven't laughed as much in ages and was completely captivated by her, although Jem wasn't so sure! This sow, turned my day into something a little more special and different and definitely put a huge smile on my face. Definitely made up for the lack of romance in my life!

Three beautiful things:
Being surprised by a very friendly pig!
Cosy duvet time.
This evening's energetic and invigorating game of squash. I might ache a little tomorrow though!

One thing to be grateful for:
Life's pleasant surprises!

PS am thinking of a close friend who unexpectedly lost her mum 2 years ago today, this date has not been the same since. Although I think PB would have been howling at my pig tales today!
