Wellington Waterfront from Mt. Victoria
Took the bus to Lambton Quay this morning to check out the Parliament Building and Beehive building. The Beehive is basically a building from what looks to be the 60s or 70s which sort of looks like a beehive or a hand grenade. They built it right next to the column-fronted Parliament Building which makes for an interesting juxtaposition.
After that I headed to Burger Fuel for a hamburger lunch. It was giant and delicious. Then I walked back down to Te Papa to tackle the remaining 4 floors. It's a pretty good museum, and it's free admission and has a nice cafe with heaps of seats and a pretty god shop too (everyone knows the best part of a museum is the shop!)
Went to meet Ralph afterwards and got the busy busy bus home. Then we got picked up by Lorna and went for a drive around the surrounding bays. Had some delicious fush and chups at Lyall Bay and drove out towards the Hutt Valley. On the way back we headed up Mount Victoria and caught some pretty awesome views of the harbour, but I was exhausted so glad to get to my bed. I don't have my camera software with me either so no technical jiggery pokery is going on with any of these photos. Just what my camera sees.
