We snuck off for the Hockney. Huge exhibition, loads of people, colourful pictures but somehow lacking an emotional connection. A hint of the emperor's new clothes in places - did anyone write a critical review of the exhibition?? Spent time ear wigging people's conversations - many not actually about the pictures
