A dramatic morning over the River Ythan

After a couple of days of mist and drizzle things started to brighten up this morning, with some interestingly dramatic skies over the river Ythan.

While trying to give a name to the clouds I came across an excellent profusely illustrated leaflet from the met office entitled Cloud Types for Observers - Reading the Sky. You can download a copy here. I'm still not sure what these clouds are called, though.
