Grumpy, standing in for the birds.

Yesterday, because I felt like it, I made a bird table from stuff to hand. I am proud to say, in good old Lancashire/Irish thrift sense. All the materials used, were what I had about the garage and shed. I get a real buzz out of spending nowt. I used to feed my bantams a mix of wild bird seed which they thoroughly enjoyed, and so I bought 5 lbs of this, plus some fat balls, if you'll pardon the expression, and some nuts and some dried meal worms. Result. Bugger-all birds. The dog seems very interested in the smell of the fat balls and the dried meal worms. Aparently, it can take a little time for the birdies to find the carefully placed table. Watch this space for an update, anywhere within 1/2 an hour to 8 days of siting the table. By the way, grumpy is standing in for our feathered friends.
