Mr and Mrs?

Walking through another East Yorkshire village this afternoon I paused beside this small stream.

Took several shots downstream, then several more upstream.

Was ready to move on, confident that one of them would be today's blip.
Then in the distance I heard a quack. Followed by many more, getting steadily louder.

Now, a good ways upstream from where I was standing is a small pond on which can usually be found a dozen or so ducks.

And as I waited a pair of them swam steadily into view. Then stopped. She climbed onto the bank and began to tidy up after the swim. He stayed mid- stream and did the same.
