Sea turtle
Today I tried wet-folding an origami model for the first time. I went with a design I was familiar with, this sea turtle by Michael G. La Fosse. They're my favourite animals, and not the easiest to render from a square of paper. I enjoyed the technique, which allows the paper to stretch and hold its shape, although the paper I picked turned out not to be the best for this sort of thing. Still, I liked the finished model (which is about eight inches long) and it's taken pride of place on our mantelpiece.
