Almost there

I love the first day in the year when you can sense spring in the air. Today was that day for 2012. It was mild and sunny and there was some warmth in the sun. I was able to spend some time gardening this afternoon. It really cheered me up. I thought that the photo of crocus would be fitting.

I was (far too) pleased to see that the hellebore is flowering (I need to get out more). It was one of the sick bay plants I bought last year so I was glad to see that it is happy. I have a habit of buying sick plants. I feel sorry for them.

Today I have missed my mum a lot. I don't know why it has been so hard today. Maybe it's because there are lots of signs of new life.

Anyway now that winter is practically over I really need to get on and do thinkgs and stop waiting for things to happen.
