Quantum Leap

A nighttime view of Shrewsbury's 'Quantum Leap' sculpture for today's blip. It is a subject of considerable controversy here, having gone well over budget and ended up costing more than the Angel of the North. (Also the name of the piece always puts me in mind of the dodgy late 80's sci-fi series of the same name, following the unlikely adventures of Dr Sam Beckett). It perhaps comes across better in a photo than in real life, but certainly at night, from the right angle, the aesthetics are striking.
