How Long

Paul Carrack is one of those artists that seems to have been around forever!

And for a man of his talents, that's a good thing.

We first heard of him in ACE when they had top 20 hit with 'How Long' stints with Roxy Music (I don't remember this one) Squeeze (he replaced Jools Holland) and as a member of Mike + The Mechanics alongside Mike Rutherford (Genesis and Paul Young Sad Café ( no, not the one that kept laying his hat down)

As well as being a multitalented singer/musician he's an adept songwriter too, having written for all his bands and The Eagles one his songs featuring on their comeback album Hell Freezes Over (as that's what they said would have to happen before they reformed!) I'm not sure if that actually happened, we'll just have to take their word for it.

Paul is singing his own songs on this tour, from his current cd A Different Hat but he also sings old favourites too, much to the delight of The Queens Hall audience.

They nearly didn't make it, as the band were caught up in a serious accident on the M6 a few days ago, we're all glad they came out of it unscathed!
