Dikketruiendag

Today is Dikketruienday or Thick Sweater Day. This is an initiative which encourages schools to lower their heating for one day and students to wear a thick pullover as a greener way to keep warm, save energy and cut CO2 emissions. The date is significant as it marks the day the Kyoto Protocol came into force (16th February 2005). Although schools are the main target of the campaign, the rest of us are also encouraged to do our bit at home and in the office. Am off to find a thick jumper!
