Stethoscope's At The Ready..

We had a clinical examination of the horse today, an opportunity to whip out our stethoscope's and have a listen to the heart, lungs, and guts..

I have to admit, I didn't really hear much bar some random gurgling.. Don't think I've quite developed the knack if putting the stethoscope in exactly the right place.. Apparently it was quite hard to hear anything anyway, as the teaching horses are quite overweight, bless them..

This blip is of my friend J listening to the caecum, in the gut.. You're meant to hear a sound similar to the flushing of a toilet around every minute.. Think I'll have to practice that one!!
