Where did all the dark go?
Another month or so, the clocks will spring forward and it will still be light at 7pm, but even now, it is light at gone 5!
We took Emma to see the Muppet's movie this afternoon. Admittedly it is half-term, but the circle and stalls were packed in our (still) 1930s cinema. From what I could tell, most seemed to enjoy the film, but I thought it lacked pace. Perhaps a nefarious car chase in there somewhere would have livened it up?
I know of course that Jim Henson was of the US, and it is a descendant of Sesame Street, but the Muppet Show itself was recorded over here in the UK at the ATV studios in Elstree, which is now owned by the BBC and home to Eastenders!
There is a long list of films made at Elstree which people assume were out of Hollywood. Take Star Wars as an example!
This is a shot of Emma looking up, I think at a blackbird landing on the Orangery roof. (New hip name for conservatories btw;).
