The meeting place

The town has been doing its best to spruce itself up. It cut out the through traffic so now we have a pedestrianised centre but traffic is often gridlocked as no-one seems to have worked out the new traffic flows. One unintended outcome of the new circular seating was that it became the winos preferred spot. So the Council made it a no drinking zone and things have improved. The circular layout means that it is populated at different times of the day by different groups and those not belonging to that given group tend not to sit down. In the morning it the turn of migrant workers coming off shift, then the shoppers have their turn, then the school children coming out of school.
