'It takes a long time to grow an old friend'

My dad says this. It is true in most cases. Sometimes you recognize a new friend in a way that makes them an immediate old friend. This old friend came to visit this weekend. I was thrilled to get to spend time with her. She also happens to be a dog groomer and felt pity for the hairy mess that was the poodle. He did so well for her! I am so thankful.
