It's a bright sunshiney day.....

It's been a good day all round today....

Work wasn't too bad... I'm making good progress, sometimes I think I must be the oldest apprentice in town!!
I still can't believe somedays that I've changed my trade to something so different at my age, but it's keeping my mind active so it can only be a good thing... today I've been training on our generator which cuts the lenses to the specifications on the customers prescriptions.. I think I've got the hang of it, I'll have to wait and see if when I go back tommorrow if all the figures and calculations are still stored in my brain or not!!
Being the only woman in the lab, I'm determined to learn quickly and do a good job...
The men are all great, but probably it's more me that feels I have to prove I can be one of the boys than them.

After work Sammy and I had a nice walk along the sea front towards Preston Pans...
and yes... Sammy has set a new record, 4days car travel with no mess!!
Here's hoping he's turned a corner this time!

It's great to see the days are getting longer, I could really notice it today, the sun was still out after 5.30pm.... that's fantastic.... I can almost taste summer!....
