ice river

I sometimes get frustrated at the town I live in (I'll likely post some deserted-main-street blips at some point in the future), but at least it has a killer river of ice in the winter. I took the kids for a walk to the river this morning then left my 4-month-old sleeping in the stroller while her brother and I crawled over ice and rocks for a while. The ice that gets pushed up onto the river banks looks almost glacial - and acts glacial too sometimes by mowing over shrubs/trees in the process.
