The Beech Tree (deceased)

This was a 150 year old Beech tree that sadly had to be felled as it was rotten to the core as you can see from the shot ,the huge centre section has rotted away.
The white areas are also rotting.
At least 4ft wide.Went 3ft down in the centre!
Had a good life and I am told they don't get much older.
It's been 'logged up' and will keep the home(not mine) fires burning for a few years.
